How Do We Calculate a Removal Quote?
If you’re looking to move house in the near future, getting a removal quote will no doubt be high on your to-do list. But how do we do it? Here are the four stages of our removal process.
Step one: Receiving your enquiry
When we first receive your enquiry – be it through our website or over the phone – we begin noting down the key details and specifics. These include:
- The size of your property
- What type of property you’re moving out of and into
- Where each property is located
- Any specific moving requirements (whether you’d like our packing and dismantling service, etc)

Step two: The survey
Once we understand the basics, our team will get in touch to offer you a free, no obligation pre-move home survey. Normally this would be completed in-person at your current home or office, but if you prefer we can complete this step via a video call.
When we visit your property or video call you, we’ll investigate further and make sure we understand fully what you’re after. This allows us to provide a moving service that’s entirely tailored to your needs.
We will discuss:
- Specific requirements mentioned previously (or any additional ones)
- Advise you on packing procedures
- Anything that needs specialist attention, be it a piano, artwork or heavy items
- Insurance and payment plans available to you
We also make sure our vehicles will be able to access your property at this stage. If our larger trucks can’t make it down your street, we can send smaller vans to do the job instead.
Step three: The quote
After the survey is complete and we understand exactly what’s required, we get to work on providing a quote. Our quotes are free with no obligation, and we’ll make sure that you receive one within 24 hours of the survey. We don’t mess around! Crucially, you won’t have to worry about any unexpected charges or additional payments – with a quote agreed, the price we state is the price you’ll pay.
Step four: The move!
You’re all set! Now all that’s left is for us to move your items safely and efficiently to your new home or office.
